Reno Gazette Journal-Finalists named for 2019 RGJ Citizen of the Year

Grant Denton, Calen Evans, Allison Gorelick, Laura Jackson, Janet Phillips, Heather Goulding and Grace Nichols are the finalists for RGJ Citizen of the Year for 2019.

The finalists, selected from 44 submissions from RGJ readers, have impacted the Northern Nevada community over the past 12 months, from arts and culture to education to assisting those in need. The 15th recipient of the RGJ’s annual award will be announced Sunday, Dec. 29. Here are the finalists’ stories.
